      If the patient has resisted the disgust approach in phase one, it is time to employ phase 2 which emphasizes the frustration factor.  Our operative in your area will locate a bag  sale at some well known junk store and make sure that the patient plans to attend.  He will have a cache of previously prepared bags, some with slits in the bottom, some stapled together half way down and some with broken handles.  At this point patient*s attempts to stuff merchandise into the bag will assume a nightmare quality and result in a foray of such dismal condition that the patient will be thoroughly discouraged and may flounce out to her car and drive away.
